Founded by Dennis J. Nackord in 1970, American Karate Studios started as the first professionally run, full time Martial Arts School in Delaware.
American Karate Studios has a rich history in the Martial Arts, influenced by many well known national and international Masters in the knowledge and teaching methods which have been handed down to generations of students. American Karate Studios has led the way for almost 40 years, with thousands of people from all walks of life passing through our doors. With the help of these masters we have developed a comprehensive health and self defense program for adults. With input from teachers and child psychologists we have developed a specific training curriculum for children ages 12 and under.
AKS, to this day, remains an innovative martial arts training and educational center.
